Camping dishes, melamine dishes and accessories to cook while you camp

If enamel camping dish sets like GSI made you feel like Wild West cowboys, then modern sets made of melamine like the delicately classic Serenade series, the airy Space series or the maritime Blue Ocean series from the InterCaravaning Shop will really make a difference. The standard is a 16-piece camping dish s‍et with 4 dinner plates, 4 dessert plates, 4 soup plates and 4 mugs. Usually, in o‍rder to complete your s‍et, muesli bowls, serving bowls and drinking glasses can be ordered as well. The popular Blue Ocean dish series and the colourful Spectrum can both be ordered as a 36-piece camping dish s‍et including matching 16-piece cutlery. In keeping with the current rustic-elegant vintage trend, the new Stone Line camping dishes by Gimex are of course also available at Intercaravaning.shop. They look like earthenware and you can feel the décor; however, the complete s‍et of dishes, including the faceted drinking and wine glasses, are made of SAN. Rather reminiscent of rustic Nordic stoneware dishes is the Savana camping dish s‍et by Brunner, who have also dedicated themselves to the sense of touch, calling their signature feel StoneTouch.

Melamine dishes

Camping dish sets are made of melamine to get as close as possible to the feel of homey porcelain. Of course, the material is significantly more shatter-proof and lightweight, but melamine camping dishes should not come into contact with liquids hotter than 70 degrees Celsius. That is why the Blue Ocean, Space and Serenade dish series camping glasses and cups are made of even more temperature-resistant Resylin – another durable and food-safe plastic. Drinking glasses for camping are made of colourless material for the most part – usually polycarbonate or SAN.

A new addition is shockproof camping dishes made of sustainable material such as bamboo or natural cellulose, such as the deliberately simple Organic Collection by Koziol, which is reminiscent of bone china. Regardless of material and manufacturer, many camping dishes cups and glasses have a handy non-slip rubber coating.
