Sanitary fluids and sanitary additives in powder form for camping, caravan and motor home toilets like Aqua Kem Blue

Sanitary agents like those from Thetford’s Aqua Kem series were developed to suit the portable toilets from the same brand, which are preferred by caravan and motor home owners. You use Aqua Rinse in the fresh water tank on top. The pink sanitary fluid contains fragrances and active agents that keep flushing water clean and coat the plastic bowl with a hygienic layer that protects against limescale and dirt. Aqua Rinse is also available as a spray so you can effectively use it in caravan and camper toilets that are connected to a main water tank.

Aqua Kem Blue

Aqua Kem Blue products are mixed with water and added to the waste tank of the on-board toilet to fight odours and liquefy solid materials. For the good of the environment, Thetford developed Aqua Kem Green products as biologically effective alternatives that you can, of course, find at Intercaravaning.shop. The normal Aqua Kem Green sanitary fluids are available in 1.5 litre bottles and as concentrate in 0.75 litre containers. Aqua Kem Blue is available as a concentrate in 0.75 litre bottles and is also sold in 2 litre bottles. Both sanitary fluids for waste water tanks are also available in soluble dosing sachets, the Aqua Kem Blue and Aqua Kem Green sachets.

Other biodegradable products available at Intercaravaning.shop are the oxygen-based sanitary powders and sachets for mobile toilets from Dr. Keddo. The caravaning specialist Dometic also manufactures both portable camping toilets and the necessary additives for waste tanks, the PowerCare tabs. The Green Care version is the environmentally friendlier alternative of this product.

By the way, with Aqua Soft toilet paper from Thetford and Fiamma Soft 6, Intercaravaning.shop also carries fast-dissolving toilet paper for portable and motor home toilets. And since plastic toilets need to be cleaned gently, we also carry Thetford’s Toilet Bowl Cleaner and similar products.

Portable camping toilets

The name “Porta Potti” says it all. Portable toilets from Intercaravaning.shop make it possible for campers who enjoy using a “real toilet” but have no connection to water supply systems to choose their toilets themselves. The mobile toilet selected most often by campers who have no permanently installed on-board toilet is the Porta Potti 365 from Thetford. It consists of two elements. The top part with a toilet bowl, toilet seat and cover also contains the flushing water tank, in which tap water is mixed with a solvent specially developed for toilet systems like the Porta Potti. The waste water tank in the base of the Porta Potti is also filled with a mixture of water and an additional chemical fluid that helps disintegrate faeces and neutralise its odour. The Porta Potti is flushed with a bellows pump lever after use. Pulling on a latch causes the fluid to be drained into the portable toilet’s waste water tank. Once you are back home, you can empty the Thetford toilet’s waste water tank into your home toilet. Camping grounds provide disposal stations for portable chemical toilets.

The waste water tank of a Porta Potti 365 can hold 21 litres. That is enough for a maximum of 50 flushes. Smaller models, such as the Porta Potti 335, contain 10 litres of waste water. Simpler models do not have fill level indicators and other comfort features.

Portable dry toilets like the ones from Cactus are also available as alternatives to chemical preparations. Dry camping toilets operate based on the idea of catching faeces in bags pulled over the toilet seat. Sprinkling in a powder known as a moisture buffer binds moisture in the dry toilet bags, and the odour-proof seal guarantees that nothing gets out. You can dispose of full bags from your dry toilet with your household rubbish.
